Tynemouth United is pleased to announce the addition of a new Under-17 team set to compete on Saturdays from the 2026/27 season, further expanding what is already a strong and well-established youth section at the club.

The new side will join the club’s existing Under-17 teams, enhancing depth across the age group and creating more opportunities for players to continue their development within a structured and competitive environment.

Expanding Opportunities for Players
Club officials say the decision reflects both the continued growth of the club and increasing demand from players seeking to play at Under-17 level.

“We’re delighted to be introducing another Under-17 team into our setup,” said the TUFC Club Secretary. “This allows us to accommodate more players and ensures that everyone has the chance to play regular football while continuing their progression.”

The Saturday format offers additional flexibility for players, particularly those balancing commitments such as school, part-time work, or involvement in other teams.

The team are currently looking to add players for the upcoming season with "Open Training" sessions occurring on the dates below.

Thursday 4th June @7pm
Saturday 6th June @10am
Thursday 11th June @7pm
Saturday 13th June @10am

Participating players will require shin pads, football boots and a drink. Sessions take place on grass at Norham High School, Biddlestone Crescent, NE29 7JW
