First game of the new year brought a familiar face to Norham in the shape of Red House Farm. This was the third meeting of the two clubs this season with Red House edging the first two. Tynemouth started well and were plying some nice football when against the run of play Red House scored, within a couple of minutes Tynemouth were level with a cool finish from the edge of the box by Daniel Thomson. Tynemouth with their tails up pushed on and a great solo effort from Joesph Veitch saw him round the keeper and slot the ball home from a very tight angle. Just before half time Tynemouth scored their third, some great play on the right wing from Evan Wetherby saw him pull the ball back from the byline and the ball was met with a sweet left foot finish from George Bogg, a great counter attacking move. The second half saw a strong Red House team pin United back but with some help from the post and great goalkeeping from Daniel Meaney the united back line was not breached. Man of the match Matthew Dunn, solid performance in the middle of the park controlling the tempo of the game
