The Under 12 blues dip in form continued with a game moved to 4G pitches due to pitches not yet recovering from the recent bad weather. The Blues met a Newcastle City juniors team keen to get matches played to improve their league position. It was immediately apparent from kick off the NCJ meant business and crisp passing saw them take a 3 goal lead by half time. Tynemouth should have had a equaliser at 1-0 down when Euan linked up well with Charlie P to slot home, only for the effort to be deemed offside.
The Blues rallied at half time with Lucas, Thomas and Charlie P trying to get us back into the game but we were comprehensively beaten by KPJ who showed determination, accurate passing and clinical finishing. The only high point for Tynmouth was when man of the match Thomas won himself a freekick and rifled it home with ten minutes to go. This would prove only to be a consolation goal as KPJ emphatically ran out winners.
Another tough match next Saturday, at home to WBFC. The blues will need to seriously improve their game if they wish to improve on this performance.
