Season signed off in Style with U15s Presentation Night
Tynemouth United U15s Blues and Yellows met for the final time this season - but this time it was off the pitch for the traditional end of season presentation night.
Cullercoats Crescent Club was the venue, and we were well looked after on another cracking evening.
As per usual the evening kicked off with a review of the season, an exciting first campaign in the Gateshead Youth League for both teams.
Then all of the players got their individual club representation awards - It was also a chance to say farewell with a standing ovation from the team to Gavin and Finlay who are leaving us for a transfer to New Zealand in the summer - maybe that can be our first overseas supporters branch !
We then broke for the buffet - Thanks everyone for the tremendous spread ! the squad challenge proved popular, with Luke as Diego Costa and Adam C as Kevin De Bruyne among the more popular pairs that participants picked !
The second half opened with some thank you, emphasising that any success is a true team effort, and our appreciation goes to Keith, Paul, Andy, Nick and Jo for their assistance during the season.
Then onto the important business with evenings special awards. Both team winners are shown below :
Tynemouth Blues U15s :
Most Improved Josh Hamilton
Best Attitude Mitchell Wright
Top Goalscorer Tyler McQueen
Players Player Bradley Young
Player of the Season James Chamberlain
Tynemouth Yellows U15s :
Most Improved Matt Blake
Best Attitude Fraser Hobb
Parents Choice Robbie Fenwick
Players Player Adam Beattie
Player of the Season Josh Beales
All that the remained was for the Yellows to receive the League trophy
Special thanks go to Colin for his cracking job with the photographs both at the presentation evening, and the Cup Final which provided a fitting backdrop to the evening.
Month off now, then back into the business of pre season preparation. Anyone interested in trialling for next season's U16s should contact Bruce on 07503 224306 or Graham on 07887 352158 for details of open training sessions. We are also looking for a strip sponsor for the 2017/18 season if anyone is interested ?
