On Saturday 2nd September TUFC held their annual club football tournament with players from across the region showing up in force to participate. In total 86 teams took part across the day which saw the sun beaming down throughout the day.

With teams spread over 10 pitches in 2 sessions across the day it made for a busy day for the club volunteers and referees. It was fantastic to see the passion and excitement in the players faces and the delight in the faces of spectators as they witnessed amazing football being played.

Blyth Town won the U9s Fair play award in the morning whilst Ashington Patriots won the U10s Fair play award in the afternoon.

Well done to the older teams that won the main trophy and the plate trophy for each age group.

We look forward to seeing what next year has to bring.
