Earlier this year Tynemouth United approached club members past and present to donate back old club clothing in advance of a trip by the charity TEECH to the village of Sturzeni in Northern Moldova and we received a huge response with overwhelming numbers of clothes donated.
Over the month of August the team from TEECH undertook their travels to the village to complete the redevelopment of a disused room at a local school creating bathrooms for the students. This was the first time the students have access to indoor toilet and washing facilities.
During their trip they also distributed TUFC clothing to a local charity run orphanage in Struzeni. Their football coach works hard to teach the kids discipline through the medium of sport and does a fantastic job with limited facilities. Adidas also got on board with the trip and kindly donated a stockpile of football boots.
More information on TEECH can be found here: http://teechorg.weebly.com/
The club would like to take this opportunity to thank the team at TEECH for their hard work and also a huge thanks to everyone who donated clothing back to the club.
